Anne of Avonlea

Anne: " Than I should die an old maid.. I daresay it isn't the hardest death by any means."

Diana: "Oh, I suppose the dying would be easy enough; it's the living an old maid I shouldn't like."

Anne of Avonlea

... a broken heart in real life isn't half as dreadful as it is in books. It's a good deal like a bad tooth... though you won't think THAT a very romantic simile. It takes spells of aching and gives you a sleepless night now and then, but between time it lets you enjoy life and dreams and echoes and peanut candy as if there were nothing the matter with it. Pavement Tune - The Frames

This situation's killing me
It's got me right under the thumb
I don't know where I want to be
This doesn't make no sense at all
You're quoting every single line
I spoke too much but I was old before my time, you told me

I want my life to make more sense
I want my life to make amends
I want my life to make more sense to me

This road is crooked cracked and wrong
They got the odds staked nice and high
I don't know how they get along
me, I just internaize
You can imagine what they'd say
Given the choice if I could fight or walk away, I'm walking

You see I want my life to make more sense
I want my life to make amends
I want my life to make more sense to me

I want my life to make more sense
I want my life to make more sense to me

So let me take you by the hand
And lead you through this troubled mind
You said yourself we had a plan
To get us all back to the line
We talk anout it everyday
But we keep forgetting what it was we Came to say
Now don't we

I want my life to make more sense
I want my life to make amends
I want my life to make more sense to me
My life to make amends

Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, Ph.D., D.D.

So I'm reading this book, and it's driving me crazy. With every other sentence I read I feel like yelling crap, crap, crap. Briefly what's the author talking about is, that everything in your life can be healed/repaired if you have strong believe in it in your subconscious mind. I'm just on page 50, so I wonder what's gonna be next.
What's bothering me the most is the fact that this guy us using verses from Bible support his theory and Christian (or religious?) terminology. He calls prayer the things you're supposed to repeat to yourself to believe them. And one example of his using Bible. So he quotes Matt. 9, 28 - 30. And than writes: " By saying *according to your faith be it unto you* Jesus was openly appealing to the cooperation of the subconscious mind of the blind men.. When the sick came to Jesus to be healed, they were healed by their own faith, together with his faith and understanding of the healing power of the subconscious mind. Whatever he decreed, he felt inwardly to be true. He and the people needing help were in the one universal subjective mind and his silent inner knowing and conviction of the healing power changed the negative destructive patterns in the patients' subconscious. The resultant healings were the automatic response to the internal mental change. His command was his appeal to the subconscious mind of the patients plus his awareness, feeling, and absolute trust in the response of the subconscious mind to the words that he spoke with authority." (Murphy, 2000, p.50 - 51)
Well, I didn't know God is using new nickname.Because for all I know it was God who Jesus was appealing to when healing people.

Sorry i this is too long, this book is just... (lack of my English vocabulary)

Miracle drug - U2

I want a trip inside your head
Spend the day there...
To hear the things you haven't said
And see what you might see

I wanna hear you when you call
Do you feel anything at all?
I wanna see your thoughts take shape
And walk right out

Freedom has a scent
Like the top of a new born baby's head

The songs are in your eyes
I see them when you smile
I've seen enough I'm not giving up
On a miracle drug

Of science and the human heart
There is no limit
There is no failure here sweetheart
Just when you quit...

I am you and you are mine
Love makes no sense of space
And time...will disappear
Love and logic keep us clear
Reason is on our side, love...

The songs are in your eyes
I see them when you smile
I've had enough of romantic love
I'd give it up, yeah, I'd give it up
For a miracle, a miracle drug, a miracle drug

God I need your help tonight

Beneath the noise
Below the din
I hear your voice
It's whispering
In science and in medicine
"I was a stranger
You took me in"

The songs are in your eyes
I see them when you smile
I've had enough of romantic love
Yeah, I'd give it up, yeah, I'd give it up
For a miracle, miracle drug

Miracle, miracle drug

Walk on - Bono Vox (U2)

Walk On

And love is not the easy thing
The only baggage you can bring...
And love is not the easy thing....
The only baggage you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind

And if the darkness is to keep us apart
And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off
And if your glass heart should crack
And for a second you turn back
Oh no, be strong

Walk on, walk on
What you got they can’t steal it
No they can’t even feel it
Walk on, walk on...
Stay safe tonight

You're packing a suitcase for a place none of us has been
A place that has to be believed to be seen
You could have flown away
A singing bird in an open cage
Who will only fly, only fly for freedom

Walk on, walk on
What you've got they can't deny it
Can’t sell it, can’t buy it
Walk on, walk on
Stay safe tonight

And I know it aches
And your heart it breaks
And you can only take so much
Walk on, walk on

Home… hard to know what it is if you’ve never had one
Home… I can’t say where it is but I know I'm going home
That's where the hurt is

I know it aches
How your heart it breaks
And you can only take so much
Walk on, walk on

Leave it behind
You've got to leave it behind
All that you fashion
All that you make
All that you build
All that you break
All that you measure
All that you steal
All this you can leave behind
All that you reason
All that you sense
All that you speak
All you dress up
All that you scheme…

different kind of "poetry"

I don't read poetry. I wish I could, but I don't really enjoy it. I wish I could appreciate Baudlaire, Neruda, Mrs. Browing and others. I just don't.
My favorite poets are little bit different. Sting, Bono, Glen Hansard and lot of others who sing their poems. I love music, but it's the lyrics what usually gets me about the song. I'm not sure why is this. Sometimes I'm thinking if I'd love them so much if they were without the music.
So with that said, I will be posting now and than some of my favorite "poetry".
